Traditional Kanjeevaram saree’s,hair adorned with mallipoo & ears decorated with jhumki’s, kumkum-haldi on their foreheads, little girls with silk langa dawani’s, Sparkling brass kalash, coconut offerings to the Lord , Betel leaf & areca nut for the wedding guest. Don’t these elements remind us of a typical south Indian wedding ?This infact was a typical Hebbar –Iyengar wedding of Amrutha & Hemanth that took place in one of the most gorgeous & tranquil resorts of the Windflower in Mysore.
With fingers crossed about the rains & a lot of positivity from the bride Amu,the Windflower lawn setting could not have been any better for us to just spruce it a bit with the rustic orange & gold colour scheme for the evening Varapooja .The lead to the Varapooja was a grand entrance made by the groom & his family . The groom sat on a horse & made his way in while friends & family danced & led his way into the venue where he was greeted by the Volga & received by the bride’s family with garlands. For the morning Muhurtham the lush green lawns deserved to be shown off with bright hues of peacock blue & yellow. Since this is such a beautiful morning colour combination we decided to get the rangoli’s, program booklets & thambula bags coordinated with the theme. The reception was a purple & white affair which was topped off with a grand orchid multi-tier cake. Amrutha & Hemanth’s wedding was a 5 day wedding that we fondly look back to . Both families were extremely cooperative & we were treated like their own ! Amrutha & Hemanth are a very positive couple that complement each other very well. We wish them the very best in their marriage & thank them for making us a part of their most special day.View Gallery
